Mother Harlot
Mother Harlot is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Babylon the Great, also called the Whore of Babylon or the Great Whore, is a female figure from Chapter 17 of the New Testament's Book of Revelation. She is described as the "mother of harlots and abominations of the earth".[1] She is seated amongst many waters[2] and rides a scarlet beast filled with blasphemous names which has seven heads and ten horns.[3] The Whore is drunken with the blood of the saints and of the martyrs for Jesus,[4] and the kings of the earth fornicate with her and the people of the earth are drunk on her prostitution.[5] She wears purple and scarlet clothing with gold and precious stones, and holds a golden cup filled with abominations and impurities of her prostitution.[6]
The book states that the seven heads of the beast symbolize seven mountains on which the woman is seated and also to seven kings, five having already died, one still alive, and one to come in the future.[7] The ten horns symbolize ten kings who will receive kingly authority for one hour along with the beast. These kings are to give their authority to the beast and wage war against the Lamb (i.e. Jesus Christ), but will ultimately fail;[8] the ten kings and the beast will additionally burn and devour the Whore.[9] The waters are stated to symbolize the many peoples and languages of the earth.[10] The woman represents the great city which reigns over the earth.[11]
Design
Mother Harlot appears as a skeletal woman wearing a red veil and a short dress with a red trim around her breasts and shoulders, with the rest of it being purple. She has purple gloves and ankle bracelets, tightened around her ankles by black bands that have a skull crest on them with her feet exposed showing she has red painted toenails. She holds a gold jewel-encrusted chalice in her right hand with fog coming out of it.
The beast she rides in red with the pattern of black playing-card diamonds all over its body. True to its origin, the beast has seven heads, the upper three having two horns while the lower four have one, for a total of ten. Each head is wearing a crown, and has a snout somewhat resembling a pig's, sharp teeth with noticeably longer molars, and graying hair. It ends with a tail that resembles that of a dragon's, having a tail end that looks like a paintbrush.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax
Mother Harlot is one of the Menorah holders who can be found in the West Plaza of Yoyogi Park.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey
If the Protagonist has completed the EX Mission "Before the holy battle III" and is law-aligned, he can accept the EX mission "The holy dragonslayer", in which Kazfiel and Aniel ask him to slay a "dragon" as a final challenge. They say that this demon is one of the ones responsible for the drastic changes the world has been facing, and point the Protagonist to the door in Sector Eridanus where they had sealed the demon behind. Opening the door leads to the Protagonist meeting Mother Harlot and her dragon, the aforementioned dragon the angels spoke of. Mother Harlot is irritated by the angels' self-righteous justice but declares that regardless of their schemes she will continue to disgrace God's name and attacks the Protagonist in retaliation. After her defeat, the Protagonist has the choice to either finish her and her dragon off, let them escape, or do nothing. If he finishes her off, he strikes her and she dies without a scream. If he lets them escape, Mother Harlot will be perplexed by his sudden mercy but advises him on how the mother goddesses of the Schwarzwelt will look upon him depending on his alignment before leaving. If he elects to do nothing, Mother Harlot is similarly perplexed by his mercy but, not wishing to be a pawn for the angels any longer, orders her dragons to devour her, and once they have finished their meal, they fall and disappear.
Shin Megami Tensei V
Mother Harlot is an optional boss in the DLC side-quest Return of the True Demon.
