Yakushiji appears exclusively in Naoto Shirogane's Social Link. He contacts Naoto on rank 2 after a thief breaks into the Shirogane estate and stole items related to Naoto, later revealed to be detective tools that she made.
On rank 8, a man appears with a knife, but Naoto recognizes it as a knife-shaped radio she made before and also recognizes the man holding it. On rank 9, the protagonist and Naoto meet with the man again, and he is revealed to be Yakushiji, her grandfather's secretary. He explains that Naoto's grandfather has been concerned about her lately and asked Yakushiji to help put on an act to rekindle Naoto's detective spirit. This included Yakushiji appearing as the Suspicious Man in the Central Shopping District who gave the protagonist the blank white card that kicked off Naoto's Social Link.
If the protagonist romances Naoto and invites her over on Christmas, she wears a Yasogami High School girls' uniform with a longer skirt that Yakushiji got for her.[1]

Yakushiji is a famous Buddhist temple in Japan dedicated to the Medicine Buddha (Yakushi Nyorai).
