Origin
An incubus (plural incubuses or incubi) is a demon in the form of a human man that lies down on or has sexual intercourse with sleeping women. Medieval European tradition holds that Merlin was born from the relationship of an incubus with a mortal woman.[1]
The term is derived from the Latin incubō ("I lie upon"). In Late Latin, the term incubus referred to a nightmare attributed to a demon lying down on the sleeper.
Design
Incubus's design in Shin Megami Tensei if... has a long, pointed codpiece covered in hearts, which likely symbolizes the demon's penis.
