I'm a french woman that has been a fan of RPGs since her childhood. I contribute little on the wiki, because I'm not confident in my English skills to write actual articles. But I try to help in other departments.
History with the RPG genre
My first RPG was Guardian's Crusade that I played on my big brother's PS1 in 2000s because my PS2 did not have any RPG at the time. During middle school, I started using RPG Maker VX Ace because I wanted to create video games, and that was the easiest engine I found at the time. This got me more into RPGs as I played other people games. In 2018, I bought Final Fantasy X on my old PS2, and that was the real beggining of my journey.
At the time, I had already played multiples RPG, mostly mobile games and RPG Maker project. FFX was the one that made me turn into a fan of RPG. I tried multiple games, multiple franchise, until I asked a friend if he had recommendations. “You can try Persona. The first is on PS1 I believe.” So, I played Revelations: Persona. I did not finish it because after a long break, I did not remember what I had to do. But, I had bought Persona 5 Royal. And this one was the game that turned me into a fan of Megaten.
