Persona 4 Golden Drama CD Vol 1 is an audio drama CD with a side story for Persona 4 Golden.

| 暦の上では春なのに、八十稲羽では冷たい風が吹いている。寒さに震えながら河川敷を歩いていた自称特別捜査隊の面々は菜々子と、その友達の真衣、そして彼女たちが見つけたという三匹の子猫に出会う。橋の下に置いていかれた子猫たちを心配し、面倒を見ようとする菜々子たちに、このまま世話をするのは難しいからと雪子は里親探しを提案。しかし真衣は自分たちで世話をすると猫を連れて行ってしまう。ひとまずは解決かと思われたが、真衣の家から猫たちが逃げてしまった。相談を受けた陽介たちは、『猫ちゃん失踪事件自称特別捜査隊』を結成するのだが――。 |

Chronologically, it takes place after the skiing trip but before the protagonist leaves town. This time period was originally not presented in Persona 4 Golden as the game skipped from after the skiing trip to March 20th.
Nanako has been taking care of three stray kittens under a bridge. Kanji and the protagonist try to teach Nanako what you can and cannot feed kittens when her friend Mai appears and mistakes them as bullies. Mai has been helping Nanako care for the kittens, and the two girls cannot find anyone to take the kittens in. Seeing Nanako and Mai reminds Yukiko of her and Chie as kids: Yukiko's family had told her to get rid of a puppy and she was upset. Chie appeared, befriended her, and took the puppy home.
Mai convinces her mom to let the kittens stay at their apartment. When the kittens go missing, the Investigation Team organizes to try and find them. While the others investigate a man that Teddie meets near the bridge, Chie finds Mai and follows her. Chie discovers that Mai lied about her mom agreeing to take in the kittens, and she moved them to a different location as to not trouble Nanako. The Investigation Team takes Mai to the Dojima house to tell Nanako the truth.
Marie shows up at the Dojima house as well and reports back that she asked Igor if she could keep the kittens in the Velvet Room, but he refused.
