Masakado's Chosen is an unnamed character in Shin Megami Tensei IV.
Profile
Masakado's Chosen is the past life of Flynn that lived prior to God's Plan. He was a member of the Counter-Demon Force and the holder of Masakado's Katana and as a result wielding him as one of the National Defense Divinities. He sacrificed his life to protect Tokyo from God's Plan by fusing with Masakado and becoming the firmament over Tokyo.
He appears identical to Flynn, having the same hairstyle and ponytail only wearing a black Demonica that was the standard uniform of the Counter-Demon Force rather than the garb of the Samurai that Flynn wears.[1]

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
Masakado's Chosen appears in the flashbacks Nanashi sees of his past life as Akira. His last moments are depicted, in which he arrives in Ginza and summons Masakado, slitting his own throat before placing Masakado on his head and fusing to become Masakado's Shadow. They are able to quickly shield Tokyo from God's Plan under the firmament but not before the explosion decapitates Masakado and leaving him dormant.
